2005-11-08 - 10:48 a.m. something might be happening between me and eric. he called me sunday night, just to hang out with me and only me, but i had to decline because i was leaving for milwaukee for an interview. that was a major development between the two of us. i was totally grinning and gleeful. i had all the delight of being asked to hang out, without all the stress of actually having to follow through. he said he wanted to watch a video with me - he saw it in my bag one day when i stopped at his house with my application to work at the place he works at. i told him that "i'd call him about the movie." i think i'll call him on thursday. i saw him last night briefly. i told mick that this place was hiring, and offered to get him an application and a referral from eric. mick actually took me up on it - i was worried he thought i was being a creepy stalker. but no, he filled out the application and gave it to me to give to eric. this is the third time i've been to eric's with application-related concerns. for the third time, he invited me in. by this time, i learned to resist all natural urges to run away, and actually stayed awhile to watch family guy and talk with eric and his roommate for a bit. eric always looks different every time i see him, and last night he had some rugged scruff that made him look so hot. i'm not feeling so hot lately. i've got no motivation to exercise, and as a result, my thighs are slowly expanding. maybe i'll get it together before all is lost. helen gave me an assignment - make a pro/con chart for milwaukee and for madison. actually, i already know that madison has a lot more pros and milwaukee has a lot more cons. MILWAUKEE - PRO: job = pathway to medical career, cats MILWAUKEE - CONS: too much time with mom, too far away from friends, too much mom food, too far away from everything i love in madison MADISON - PRO: friends, my own place, possible romance brewing, possible fun job lined up, can always take classes at MATC, favorite coffee shop, the lakes, my beloved gym, library, planned parenthood volunteering MADISON - CON: dead end jobs obviously, i will stay in madison. i will work as a captioning assistant for the hearing impaired telephone company. i will receive benefits and financial independence. i will get to keep my job at the library, and all my madison friends. i will get my nursing assistant certification at MATC, and think about where to live and work at a later date.
