there's a basenji at the humane society! her name is cheyenne. i haven't met her yet - i just saw the listing on the website.
tomorrow i will look at an efficiency that accepts all pets. if i like the place, and it seems suitable for a small dog, i will go to the humane society to see if i can adopt cheyenne.
i don't like the name though. i wonder if i could change it to pippi. we changed tobie's name when we adopted him. his name was bandit for about a year, i think.
i'm feeling a little low today, kind of up and down. the subletter we were hoping for fell through. i'm crossing my fingers now on a bi-polar alcoholic who would probably only stay for half the lease. brian doesn't want this guy moving in because he has a tendency to befriend bums off the street and drive them around in his car.
but brian broke up with me, goddamit, and he should have to take the consequences.
last night, i went with jessie to a bachelorette-bachelorette party. it was 100% gay. well, except for me, so i guess it was 98% gay.
after we left, jessie said that she thinks M. & me is a "given." i wonder. i wonder if he thinks i'm still with brian. i never told him directly. he probably thinks i'm pretty sleazy!
i'm going to see him again tomorrow night. it will be a big day - i'll see the pet friendly apartment, possibly adopt a basenji, and spend four glorious hours working in the vacinity of my crush. i wonder how he's going to react. maybe he'll do nothing, like it was nothing. i'm pretty good at passing things off as "nothing," even though i'm dying of excitement and/or embarrassment inside.
