holy kidney infection!!
advice: next time you experience back pain immediately following a bladder infection you thought you cured with a home remedy...go to the freakin hospital, you idjut!!!!!
oh the last few days have been pure hell. pure hell. id been downing a lot of ibuprofen (i thought id strained a muscle in my back). i didnt want to miss school...i guess when you are the teacher, it is harder to stay home. finally the truth caught up to me. tuesday night i went from chills to fever and back again all night long. i puked a bunch of times. my whole back and spine were just aching.
brian had been trying to get me to the hospital for the last week. the next morning i felt a little better and actually considered not going. thank god for brian, he convinced me to go.
by the time they got me into a hospital bed, i had a fever above 104. i was crying and totally losing my mind. i think i scared the doctor. i was convinced i was dying, because id never received so much attention from a doctor before. the put an IV in me, with 3 liters of fluids, antibiotics, and pain relievers. they also stuck some tylenol up my butt. (embarrassing, o hell yes).
i was there for like four hours. i felt so much better! i was also really bored, lying there in my own pool of sweat. they told me to go "void" my bladder after three liters. i didnt tell them that only a dribble came out, because i didnt want to lay there another hour waiting for another liter to go in.
i got my fever back at night. well...no wonder! they told me to take tylenol, and that shit doesnt help a fever! at my follow up today the doctor was like, oh you should take ibuprofen for ever. and i was like, oh well thanks for telling me that BEFORE my second night from hell.
so this afternoon i took some ibuprofen and had brian push on my kidney points (acupressure). now my headache is gone and i feel much better. i even ate a veggie brat! and some V8 low sodium.
im trying to clean up my room now. and my clothes, they all stink!
i feel bad because i didnt get to say goodbye to erik. he left today for san diego. i left him a message on his cell just now, i hope he gets it.
